ChurchMapped

Dog collar
Being a priest or member of clergy is hard work: having to minister to others, celebrating Masses, sometimes teaching and much more. With all of this, it can be easy to forget that we live in a world where one's online presence is just as important as one's presence in the physical world. might in future iterations of ChurchMapped.

With congregations both falling in number and aging, the digital presence of churches has been lacklustre - to say the least. This is further compounded by the fact that many priests are - understandably - puzzled by the possibilities that technology has to offer. That's where ChurchMapped® comes in.

Whilst you focus on preaching, celebrating Masses and ministering to your parishioners, ChurchMapped® works behind the scenes using state-of-the-art and the latest technology to promote your church. Our team are trained with the most advanced software and "hard disciplines" such as statistics to promote your church, saving you the time from having to learn all of this even if you did want to get your feet wet in the digital world. We are also a young team, meaning we can communicate with a young audience, who for many reasons, are put off by church. Furthermore, because we work across a number of churches, we are able to gain economies of scale and utilise aggregate data to provide you with bespoke services such as:

  • Forecasting number of attendees
  • Forecasting confession waiting times
  • Using A/B testing to promote your church in the digital sphere
  • What's more, we do all of this for you: totally free of charge*. Software licences, programming, legal work, web hosting, as well as the staff needed to run all of this can quickly drain an already cash-strapped church. We make money by bundling the information we collect about churches and utilising it for our Travel, Games and Dating services. Indeed, with our events aggregator and social media channel, we can help drive pilgrims, tourists and lapsed believers to your church, boosting your church's coffers for things such as much-needed repairs. We also make money by providing software for secular audiences too - check out our Occamify service (named after William of Ockham, a 13th century Franciscan monk), which uses advanced technology to find the most concise way to write something; useful for character-constrained platforms like Twitter Coming Soon!.

There's no need for you to do anything in particular; chances are, we're already working on your church. However, if you want to contact us about something in particular, visit our Contact Us page.

Here are some other things we do to help you in your ministry:

*In the vast majority of cases, requests for services such as our #travelguides are free. However, we reserve the right to charge for specific requests in the event we receive many requests simultaneously or for particularly "heavy-duty" tasks such as use of computer-generated imagery (CGI), which can take months to complete. In such exceptional events we will always communicate this to you beforehand.
